Counseling can be a vital tool for individuals and families struggling with the difficulties of adolescence. To respond to crisis, to resolve conflicts, the therapist must maintain a healthy, trusting partnership with the client. The best therapists help build bridges and sustain connections between teens and families.

Since 1995 I have counseled adolescents and families in facilities as varied as inpatient hospital units, residential settings, and an alternative middle / high school for struggling teenagers. I understand that, for therapy to be most effective, clients and families must feel that they are in a safe, confidential and caring environment.

Much of my experience is in addressing Autism Spectrum Disorders, particularly Asperger’s Syndrome. I recognize the challenges of navigating ASD. I am dedicated to educating clients and families about a diagnosis, and to helping you and your family learn to lead healthy, successful, purposeful lives with autism and Asperger’s. In addition, I am well-equipped to help with issues related to anxiety, depression, school and social skills, bullying, conflict resolution, identity struggles, drugs and alcohol, and stressful home life. Through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), I am a Certified Instructor in using verbal techniques to avoid escalation and further crisis. I can help you and your family work together to get things back to where you want them and to achieve your goals for a healthier future.
